The night of the elections in the United States, November 5th, will occur according to the time of each region and the closing of the polls, from east to west.

While some states can be projected shortly after polls close, others can take hours, such as swing states, which do not have a consistent partisan tilt.
The vote count is situated so that former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, could see his votes grow quickly after the polls close early, especially given earlier projections for more populous Republican states such as Florida and Ohio.
Some of Vice President Kamala Harris’ biggest constituencies, the Democratic nominee, have polls that close later, including California and New York.

9pm
The polls close in the first six states, including Georgia, which has 16 delegates – a figure in the American electoral system.
In some parts of Indiana and Kentucky, polls close earlier, at 8 p.m. Projections will take some time, even in some more solidly red or blue states. Most polls also close in Florida at 9 p.m. Eastern Time, but in the Panhandle region they close at 10 p.m. and no statewide screenings will occur before all polls close in a state.
Georgia’s secretary of state said up to 70% of votes could be counted by 10 p.m. due to early voting and preprocessing of mail-in ballots.
