US: Former pro boxer arrested for transporting $1 billion worth of cocaine

The ex-pro boxer Goran Gogic was arrested on USA and faces serious charges of up to 10 years in prison for transportation cocaine worth $1 billion.

In accordance with cnbc.com, the 43-year-old originally from Montenegro is accused of helping transport 20 tons of drugs from Colombia. In fact, he allegedly used containers to transport the cocaine through the United States mainly to Europe. The drugs came from Colombia.

US media reports that the drugs were transported by commercial cargo ships. Gogic and his accomplices worked with crew members to transport the drugs in small speedboats. They were then loaded onto larger ships at different points and during the night.

Most of the drugs were seized in the port of Philadelphia, USA, on two large ships – MSC Desiree and MSC Gayane. The rest of the drugs were found on the MSC Carlotta in the port of New York and New Jersey.
