The mayor of US representatives, Mike Johnson, succeeded in a high-risk vote in the House to approve the US President Donald Trump plan to finance the government to the fall, surpassing opposition while the Republican party strives to prevent government stoppage on Friday (14) at midnight.
The vote from 217 to 213 to approve the Provisional Bill of Republicans now amplifies the pressure on Senate’s Democrats to decide whether to support the measure – or trigger a confrontation of spending with Trump and risking potential downtime.
Republican deputy Thomas Massie of Kentucky voted against the Republican party’s financing bill and Maine’s Democratic Deputy Jared Golden voted in favor.
