Data released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) revealed on Wednesday that the number of job vacancies on the last business day of November was 10.45 millioncompared to 10.51 million in October and the market expectation of 10 million.
“Throughout the month, the number of hires and total separations were little changed, standing at 6.1 million and 5.9 million, respectively.“, the BLS further noted in its publication. “Within separations, resignations (4.2 million) and layoffs (1.4 million) were little changed.“.
Market reaction
The DXY Dollar Index bounces during the American session and now sits at 104.35, still shedding 0.3% on the day.
