The US Department of Justice has completed its investigation into the classifieds documents found in the former vice president’s home Mike Pence in Indiana, without proceeding with prosecution, was reported by several American media and relayed by the Athens News Agency.
The department notified Pence in a letter, according to NBC News citing an unnamed official. CNN also reported that the investigation was concluded. So far there has been no comment from either Pence or the ministry.
A lawyer for the former vice president had informed the government that found “forgotten” files, which included classified documents, at Pence’s home. Earlier this year FBI agents searched that home, and Pence’s spokesman said the former vice president is “cooperating fully” with authorities.
