US President Trump: Powell could be ready to lower rates

The president of the United States (USA), Donald Trump, said Friday that he had a good meeting with the president of the Federal Reserve (Fed), Jerome Powell, on Thursday and added that he had the impression that Powell could be ready to cut the interest rates, according to Reuters.

Regarding commercial negotiations with Canada, Trump said it may not be possible to reach an agreement and pointed out that they could impose unilateral tariffs.
