US sanctions on three people and an operation in Turkey in support of the Islamic State

Sanctions the U.S. imposed on three people and an operation in Turkey for relations with Islamic state.

In particular, as reported by APE-MPE, citing diplomatic sources, the US Departments of Foreign Affairs and Finance recently decided to impose sanctions on three people and a company based in Turkey, which coordinated the promoting financial and other assistance to the “Islamic State”.

As the same sources point out, This is the fifth time since April 2019 that the US Treasury Department has imposed sanctions on those who support the “Islamic State” and are based in Turkey.

According to an excerpt from a report by the US Treasury Department’s Inspector General last January, the “Islamic State” is using bases in Turkey to transfer money internationally, especially between Iraq and Syria.
