US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and Lloyd Austin have arrived in Kyiv for talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian President’s Adviser Oleysko Arestovich said late tonight.
Reuters could not confirm from another source whether the two US officials are in Kyiv.
Blinken and Austin’s trip to Ukraine was announced yesterday by Zelensky himself. The White House did not confirm this, while the State Department and the Pentagon declined to comment.
The Ukrainian government is expected to demand more heavy weapons from the Americans as the war with Russia enters its third month.
