The United States sent the USGC Cutter Hamilton patrol boat to the Black Sea. This was reported by the press service of the US Sixth Fleet.
As noted, the boat leaves for the Black Sea after exercises with the destroyer USS Roosvelt in the Aegean.
The Sixth Fleet says the USGC Cutter Hamilton will work with US NATO allies and partners in the Black Sea region.
The specific tasks of the boat in the Black Sea in the Sixth Fleet were not named.

The Hamilton-class Coast Guard boats were designed during the Cold War and were originally designed to combat submarines.
They are 115 meters long, armed with 76 mm OTO Melara cannons, two Mk38 25 mm, Phalanx CIWS 20 mm and six 50 caliber machine guns. The boats are capable of receiving MH-65 helicopters.
