The international terminal at San Francisco Airport was evacuated late yesterday (local time) as police located a suspicious object at the airport following a bomb threat, police said on Twitter.
San Francisco police said they received a bomb threat at the airport and located a suspicious package after an investigation.
“Due to ongoing police action, the International Terminal is being evacuated,” the airport’s management company also said via Twitter shortly before midnight (local time). According to the same source, train services serving the airport were suspended following the threat.
The Associated Press reported that police took a man into custody. San Francisco police did not immediately respond when asked by Reuters for more details.
