A proposal that is sure to provoke a variety of reactions is said to have been made by the US in Turkey. According to US reports, the United States has suggested that Turkey send to Ukraine as air defense arrays of Russian anti-aircraft / anti-missile systems S-400 which Ankara has in its possession.
In return, the prospect of Turkey returning to their program is on the “table” F-35, from which he was expelled precisely because he had proceeded with the purchase of Russian S-400s. This, of course, would mean that Turkey’s relationship with Russia would be “torpedoed” since it would take the side of Ukraine while the war is in full swing.
This scenario is commented by the journalist David Sanger of the New York Times. According to which the relevant proposal has already been notified by the Americans to the Turkish side, which, however, has not commented on it (so far), nor has given any response.
NEWS: The United States has quietly floated to Turkey a proposal that it transfer its Russian-supplied S-400 anti-aircraft systems to Ukraine to use against… .Russian planes. A double play: It would give Ukraine a capability far beyond…. 1/2
