Turkey’s approach to Sweden and Finland’s NATO accession process is not a bilateral issue between Washington and Ankara, a State Department spokesman said today, adding that the Biden government is convinced that there will be a consensus on the issue.
Sweden and Finland formally applied for membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization on Wednesday, almost three months after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
