US President Joe Biden, in a meeting with his top military advisers, said Washington does not seek conflict with China and Chinese President Xi Jinping knows it.
Biden said the US would continue to lead on a range of issues, from Russia’s aggression in Ukraine to climate change and issues in the Indo-Pacific region.
“We do not seek conflict with them,” he added, referring to the Chinese. Joe Biden’s staff, meanwhile, has been leaking in recent days, according to the Bloomberg that the US is not going to change its attitude towards China.
At the same time, however, US officials are working for the leaders of the two most powerful economies in the world to talk either face-to-face or by telematics in order to put all the issues that concern the two countries on the table.
