USA: An elementary school student opened fire inside her school, slightly injuring two students and a caretaker

Sixth grade student elementary school opened fire yesterday inside a school in Idaho USA, slightly injuring three people before being disarmed by a teacher, local authorities said.

The student, who was attending this school in the small town of Rigby, was quickly arrested by the police, who did not disclose her details or her age. The ages of the sixth graders are between 11 to 12 years old.

“This morning at about 9:08 a.m., a sixth grader pulled a pistol out of her backpack. Shot several times inside the installation and injured three people. “Two of them are students and one is a school tutor,” Jefferson County Sheriff Steve Anderson told a news conference.

He stressed that the injuries were minor and that the lives of the three victims, who were transported to the hospital, are not in danger, AMPE reports.

“During the shooting, a teacher disarmed the schoolgirl and held her until police arrested her,” Sheriff Anderson added, without being able to explain the child’s motives.

The shots they started at the school entrance and continued outside it, he said.

A scourge on the US, gun attacks are constantly reviving discussions about it proliferation of firearms in the country, without the talks recording any tangible progress.

Many Americans remain very attached to their weapons and rush to buy more since the pandemic began, and even more so during the major anti-racism protests of spring 2020 and the tensions in the presidential election in the fall.

Last year, more than 43,000 people in the United States were killed by gunfire, including suicide, according to the Gun Violence Archive website.
