The United States and Iran will hold “high level” conversations in Oman on Saturday (12), said Iranian Foreign Minister, ABBAS ARAGHCHI, in X.
“It’s both an opportunity and a test. The ball is on the United States court,” said Iranian Foreign Minister.
Iran and the United States Will Meet in Ooman on Saturday for Indirect High-Level Talks.
It is as much an opportunity as it is a test. The Ball is in America’s Court.

Speech comes after US President Donald Trump said on Monday that a “very large meeting” would take place on Saturday to discuss Tehran’s nuclear program.
Although Araghchi is describing negotiations as “indirect”, a person familiar with the plans confirmed CNN that US officials should sit with Iranian leaders to directly discuss a nuclear deal on Saturday at an Oman organized meeting.
The source could not say who would participate and at what level. Steve Witkoff, sent from Trump to the Middle East, must be involved in the conversations.
Direct negotiations between the US and Iran may represent a blow to Israel, which has long advocated the attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Trump indicated a preference to negotiate about Iran’s nuclear program.
