At least six people (four adults and two children) were killed Saturday night when a tornado struck Iowa in central USAaccording to rescue services.
The tornado also injured at least four other people and caused “severe damage to homes and property,” said Madison County Sheriff’s emergency services chief Dayothenis Agiala.
Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has declared the county a state of natural disaster. “Our thoughts are with all those affected by the deadly storms that hit our state today,” he said in a statement.
In December a lot of fierce tornadoes hit five states in the central US, most notably Kentucky, killing at least 79 people.
