Glen de Vries, a businessman who flew to space last month alongside actor William Sutner with a Blue Origin spacecraft of the company of multimillionaire Jeff Bezos, was killed in a plane crash in New Jersey, CBS News reported today, citing police.
The plane crashed in Sussex, the U.S. television news network reported, adding that de Vries and another man, Thomas Fisher, had been killed in air accident. The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the cause of the crash, CBS reported.
“We are devastated by the news of Glenn de Vries’ sudden death. “It brought so much life and energy to the entire Blue Origin team and its fellow passengers,” Blue Origin said in a Twitter post, according to the Athens News Agency.
