The US Department of Human Health and Human Services announced on Monday (19) the cancellation of $ 60 million in federal scholarships to Harvard University.
They claimed that the institution of Ivy League could not deal with anti -Semitic harassment and ethnic discrimination on the campus.
In recent weeks, the Trump government has froze or ended federal scholarships and contracts worth nearly $ 3 billion for the university.
Since assuming the presidency in January, Donald Trump has sought to use the federal research funding to reformulate the American academic, which, according to him, is dominated by anti -American, Marxist and “radical left” ideologies.
The government accused Harvard of continuing to consider ethnicity by analyzing students’ registrations and allowing discrimination against Jews as a result of the pro-palestinical student protest movement that shook American campuses last year.
Columbia University in New York has also been the target of supposed anti -Semitism.
“Due to Harvard University’s continuous failure to deal with anti-Semitic harassment and racial discrimination, HHS is canceling several multi-annual scholarships… throughout its duration,” the health department said in an X post on Monday (19).

Harvard did not immediately respond to a Reuters news agency comment.
Cambridge’s institution, Massachusetts, had already stated that “it cannot absorb the total cost” of frozen scholarships and was working with researchers to find alternative financing.
The university is also processing the Trump government for the decision to cut off the bags.
Earlier this month, the university resolved a process of great repercussion powered by an orthodox Jewish student who claimed that Harvard was ignoring anti -Semitism on the campus.
The agreement was signed four months after Harvard promises additional protections for Jewish students, resolving two processes claiming that the university was a focus of anti -Semitism.
