According to the Athenian News Agency, the former President of the United States of America failed to convince the Supreme Court in New York to terminate deposits in the context of state research for his family, but also for its businesses. This paves the way for his own deposition former US president next month.
The state court of appeals dismissed the appeal because “it did not contain anyone substantial and immediate argument on compliance or not of the constitution».
Donald Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump are scheduled to testify under oath from 15 July, while their deposits will continue for the next week from this date.
Their deposits will be made in the context of three years of civil liability investigationconducted by Attorney General Leticia James.
Trump’s lawyer, as well as James’s office, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
James investigates whether the Trump Company misled creditors and tax authorities by increasing the financial value of their assets in order to achieve better lending terms, but also by lowering the financial level of loans so that they do not pay the corresponding taxes.
