In fact, the US Navy issued a statement in which it stated that “on the morning of November 29, a fire broke out on the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln.”
At the same time, he noted that the fire was “detected quickly and brought under control thanks to the efforts of the crew”.
However, nine crew members were slightly injured and given first aid, and it was not deemed appropriate to dock the US aircraft carrier while an investigation into the cause of the fire was ordered.
It is noted that in July 2020, the landing ship “Bonhomme Richard” of the US fleet was completely destroyed by a fire that broke out while it was anchored at the San Diego naval base for maintenance work.
