The USA were placed for the attack that occurred at tanker off Oman and according to the National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan is responsible for Iranwhich reportedly used a drone.
“After considering the available information, we are convinced that Iran apparently launched this drone attackSullivan said in reference to the attack, which caused no casualties but only “minor property damage” to the tanker, according to the carrier.
“We are working with our partners and allies to hold Iran accountable and respond appropriately,” the senior official added.
The Pacific Zircon «was hit by a missile about 150 miles (241 kilometers) off the coast of Oman around 15:30 on November 15,” Eastern Pacific Shipping, which is owned by Israeli billionaire Idan ‘Ofer, said in a statement.
An Israeli official told AFP that the attack was carried out by a “drone” similar to “the ones the Iranians sell to Russia to use (in its operations) in Ukraine.”
