USA resume military assistance to Kiev, says Ukrainian official

A Ukrainian presidential officer said on Tuesday that the US resumed military assistance to Ukraine after negotiations in Saudi Arabia.

“I am confirmed that US military assistance has resumed. The agreements are being implemented, ”said Palo Palisa, deputy chief of the presidential office on Facebook.

The resumption happens after Ukraine accepted the proposal of ceasefire made by the American delegation in Saudi Arabia, led by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

The deal was closed amid negotiations between the US and Ukraine in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

According to an official announcement after the meeting between the US and Ukrainian delegations, “the United States pledged to discuss these specific proposals with representatives from Russia. The Ukrainian delegation reiterated that European partners will be involved in the peace process. ”

Mineral agreement

The mineral agreement with Ukraine, desired by the United States and President Donald Trump, also advanced during the meeting.

“Presidents of both countries have agreed to complete a comprehensive agreement as soon as possible to develop Ukraine’s critical mineral resources to expand Ukraine’s economy and ensure Ukraine’s prosperity and long -term security,” the message says.
