The business conditions in the New York area recorded a strong rebound in November, according to the data announced today.
In particular, the New York Fed Empire State Index for business conditions jumped by 11.1 points this month and climbed to 30.9 points, well above economists’ estimates.

However, optimism fell in November as the expectation index for the next six months fell by 15.1 points to 36.9 points.
