Remember the case
Two employees of the Israeli Embassy were shot and killed in front of the capital’s Jewish Museum in Washington, DC, where the American Jewish Committee held an event.
The victims, Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim, were a “young couple about to get a fiancé,” said Israel’s ambassador in the US.
The only suspect was identified as 31 -year -old Elias Rodriguez from Chicago, who shouted “free, free Palestine” while in custody, police said.
Witnesses said to CNN that he waited for the police to arrive before saying he “did it for Gaza.” Investigators expect Rodriguez to face a hate crime and other federal accusations, the sources say.
President Donald Trump, who talked to Israeli Prime Minister about the attack, said on social networks that anti-Semitism, “hatred and radicalism has no place in the US.”
American politicians, Israeli authorities and world leaders condemned the murder, while friends and family recall the social impact caused by the victims.
