USA: White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki is positive about the coronavirus

White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said she was tested positive for Covid-19 today, adding that US President Joe Biden also tested negative today.

“I had two meetings yesterday, observing the measure of social distancing, with the president and it is not considered contact,” Psaki explained in a press release, on the eve of Joe Biden’s departure for a long-awaited trip to Europe.

The US official also said she had “mild symptoms” and would remain in solitary confinement for five days.

The White House spokeswoman was diagnosed with Covid-19 last fall, which prevented her from following the US president on his trip to Rome for the G20 summit.

Joe Biden is leaving tomorrow for a long-awaited trip to Europe, aimed at consolidating the Western alliance in the face of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

The US head of state is expected to first attend various international meetings in Brussels, then travel to Poland, a US ally within NATO, where hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees are flocking.
