USD/CAD falls below 1.3450 as BoC keeps rates unchanged, as expected

He USD/CAD has weakened after the Bank of Canada (BoC) decision and is moving towards daily lows, trading below 1.3440.

The CAD strengthened slightly overall after the decision, but still lags among the G10 currencies. The worst performing currency is the US dollar, which fell following the release of the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and amid improving market sentiment.

He USD/CAD moves with a bearish bias and is about to test the daily low at 1.3430. Below that level, the focus would be on the zone of 1.3400 (April minimum). Meanwhile, as long as the pair remains below 1.3500, the short-term outlook is bearish.
