On June 28, 2024, an unknown person sent 780.35 USDT to another address. The fee for this transaction was 49 ETH, which was valued at $171,263 at the time, Whale Alert reported.

Note that at the time of writing, the wallet from which the funds were sent contains assets worth more than $1.4 million, namely: 220 WETH and about 676,000 USDT.

This is not the first time that users have paid huge fees to transfer cryptocurrencies. In September 2023, an unknown person paid 19.8 BTC (about $510,000 at that time) to transfer 0.074 BTC.
Later, the counterparty sent 139.4 BTC to another address, and the transaction fee was 83.65 BTC or $3.14 million. However, then the AntPool mining pool team stated that they would return the entire amount as soon as they received confirmation from the owner.
On February 13, 2024, an Ethereum owner sent 10 ETH to another address. The fee for this transaction was 42.88 ETH, which was valued at $113,497 at the time.
