USP student accused of millionaire coup becomes defendant for embezzlement

The Justice of São Paulo made the 25-year-old medical student Alicia Dudy Muller Veiga, 25, guilty of embezzlement. She is accused of diverting almost R$ 1 million from the graduation fund of the class that will finish the course at the end of this year.

According to the press office of the Court of Justice of São Paulo (TJ-SP), the complaint from the Public Ministry of São Paulo (MP-SP) was received and the young woman became a defendant last Tuesday (28). The agency said that, as the process is being carried out in secrecy of justice, it could only pass on this information.

As Estadão showed, the MP-SP filed a complaint against Alicia on the 22nd. The piece, signed by prosecutor Fabiano Pavan Severiano, states that the young woman would have committed embezzlement eight times and tried on a ninth opportunity, which did not come to pass. be realized.

The amount of crimes committed by Alicia refers to the number of occasions on which she would have asked the company hired to organize the party to transfer the amount from the commission’s bank account to her private one.

Transfers would have started in November 2021 and extended over the past year on seven other occasions. The eight requests totaled the transfer of BRL 927,765.33 to the accounts of the accused, who was, at the time, the chairman of the class’ graduation committee.

She would have tried a new transfer in January of this year, but the company, already aware of the situation by classmates, did not carry out what would be the ninth transfer.
