USP’s student body was found with evident signs of violence

The investigation into the death of USP student Bruna Oliveira da Silva, 28, found dead last Thursday (17), in the east of São Paulo, will have priority of the Department of Homicide and Protection of Persons (DHPP). The victim had obvious signs of violence and was very injured, according to the delegate Ivalda Aleixo responsible for the case CNN .

Police hope to identify the suspect and make the arrest next week.

The delegate points out that the body when found was treated as suspicious death, being reported to DHPP, only after Bruna was in the IML and that this Harckened the crime scene and the progress of the investigation, such as the collection of crucial proofs shortly after the location of the corpse .

The department had to send teams to the place where the body was found to try to collect new traces. New complementary expert examinations were also requested at the Legal Medical Institute (IML), which had not been requested in the initial analysis of the body .

The need for these additional exams forced DHPP to ask the IML to remain with the body, postponing its release to the family for burial.

Disappearance

According to a statement from the Public Security Bureau, the body was found in the back of a parking lot in the East Zone. Last Sunday (13), Bruna was at the home of her boyfriend’s house in Butantã (West Zone), and took the subway back to her home in Itaquera, where she intended to find her son who was with her grandfather.

Upon arriving at Terminal Itaquera, around 10 pm, Bruna sent a message to her boyfriend asking for a pix to request an application car home, as it was late.

The amount was transferred, but, as found, Bruna did not use the service and was the last message exchanged with her boyfriend.
