UTC: Corporate Responsibility Program with an emphasis on children

Leadership and offer, success and responsibility, growth and solidarity. For UTC International Transport SA Every business leap must have a social impact, not only in the field of economics, but also in that of society.

That is why, after almost two decades of development and recognition in the field of transport, “Solidarity Guide” is underway, a new corporate responsibility program, which focuses on providing to children in increased need of care. The program in the first stage is associated with two organizations fully dedicated to children:

● In the SOS Children’s Villages, and specifically in the SOS Children’s Village of Vari, where UTC has undertaken:

– To cover the expenses for the lunch of all the children for one year.

– To cover the expenses for the breakfast of all the children for one year.

– Covering costs for heating oil.

● In the Ark of the World, in which UTC has made two great offers:

– The car market for transporting children to doctors and other urgently needed activities, which has already been taken up by the structure.

– The purchase of a nine-seater van for transporting children, which is received these days.

The orientation of UTC’s social responsibility program to children expresses not only its given sensitivity, but also the need for societies and businesses to focus on those most in need of warmth and care.

After all, for the company, the difficulties are the strongest motivation. It has been proving this since 2004, when it was founded by a staff of well-known executives in the field of transport of vulnerable goods with specialized experience and high know-how, who have been active especially in catches since 1989.

Since then, UTC has managed to become a great weapon for the export companies of our country, as it operates and is distinguished in 11 different transport sectors at all stages, transporting the products of companies operating in 18 different industries and in 10 different countries (Greece , Cyprus, USA, UAE, Japan, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Hong Kong).

Based at “El. Venizelos” airport, it serves all of Greece cooperating with all airlines every day of the year, 24 hours a day, ensuring its customers the ability to transport their goods (sensitive, vulnerable and valuable) with the lowest possible cost.

Despite the tough international competition, UTC has managed to transfer 99% of the fresh catches from Greece abroad.

Its financial performance and leadership in the decade 2010-2020 were rewarded in July 2021, when it was included in the Greek Business Champions of the Decade (companies that simultaneously increased turnover and pre-tax profits by more than 50% in the financial year 2019 in comparison with that of 2010) by the Direction Business Network.

The company, even after the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, despite the extremely unfavorable domestic and international environment, was in the first place among the top 10 transport companies – members of IATA in Greece, proving that extroversion, innovation, respect to the client, proper organization, dedication and flexibility can be the answer to every challenge.
