Uzoma: 12 women discovering their feminine energy

First, the bad news: in these times we have had to deal more and more with circumstances beyond our control. The tendency has (been) often to be overwhelmed byanxiety and from fear and to compensate with unhealthy behavior. What would it be like, however, if we knew how to create an inner sanctuary where we had more space, choice and freedom? Because here is the good news: we all have the ability to make positive changes in our life. How we think and perceive our bodies, minds and circumstances become our truth.

For this he was created Uzoma – The circle of twelvean experiential practice that wants to present a different concept of personal growth, intimately linked to the knowledge of one’s own sacredness and fromfeminine energy inherent in each of us, influenced and mixed by different cultures.

Conceived and organized by Métissage Sangue Misto, Nebua World, Moremi Pathin collaboration with Ayzoh!, Uzoma – The circle of twelve is dedicated to 12 women interested in discovering the true feminine sacredness, the power to embody the femininity in this moment, the awareness of one’s own body, of one’s identity and of the relationship with one’s community.

It is a journey within oneself: in fact, Uzoma means in the Igbo language “The good way” and should be interpreted as “Take the right path”. This journey is carefully designed for the busy modern woman who longs to connect with her innate feminine wisdom, intuitive knowledge and explore her sanctuary, intended as an invocation of what it means to truly love and care for oneself, extending well beyond a set of practices.

The power of feminine energy, present in each of us

A search for feminine energy, which we all have within us, beyond gender differences. «The essential key for the exploration of our being is called presence and it is carried out with the complete restoration of our natural body functions, bringing us back to ours primal state – comment the organizers – Being present means being able to filter our thoughts and actions, choosing the right way to pursue the best way for ourselves ».

To organize the retreat are Ofelia Omoyele Baloguneducator, movement artist and choreographer, creator of Moremi Patha platform that focuses on elements such as: intersectional identity, awareness and dance as a tool for the rediscovery of the body as a messenger of intuition; Aida Aicha Bodiancommunity linker and founder of Nebua World, a global business platform and community of women who have a connection with Africa and who wish to develop their career or business; in the end, Luisa Casagrandeserial and multifaceted entrepreneur with training in Biological Anthropology, Pro-Certified EMCC Mentor, founder of Mixed Blood Métissage and the related Mentorship program, a reality of Self-Empowerment and individual and corporate mentoring, based on the principles of inter- and transculturality, recognition and acceptance which aims to raise awareness and value pluricultural people.

But why 12 women, and not another number? “12 is a sacred number: from the twelve archetypes of the state of being to the twelve Gods and Goddesses of Olympus, from the twelve gates of Bologna to the twelfth tarot card: the hanging. Twelve represents the number of the transformation and emergence of a new individual thanks to an introspective stop. A necessary stop to take the right path or, in other words, the passage towards the desire to observe one’s own inner narrative to identify possible limiting dynamics “, they explain.

And why only women? “Because we are women, who work with women; we deeply know the ways, methods, times, needs, typical and unique priorities that are part of a female universe. And we have learned that whenever these feminine characteristics are heard, the result is always more than positive.

Then because being a woman leads to honor and celebrate the sacredness of women expressed in human form, created to welcome, enjoy love and the creative power that is precisely woman. Understanding how to live one’s feminine sacredness means understanding the cyclical nature that distinguishes it and the great power contained in it, as well as enjoying and making the most of one’s emotions.

Finally, why honor the sacredness of women it means understanding that the conflict linked to it is not an end, but an obligatory step to give concrete answers to an essential and radically new question of meaning that each one carries within itself, expanding our consciousness and starting us with new experiences and new creations. It means welcoming our creative and generative power ».
