V. Kikilias: ‘Continuous and without discounts the controls in hotels and tourist accommodation’

A fine of a Cyclades PYT, which went to the island together with a staff of the Ministry of Development, imposed a fine on a large hotel unit in Mykonos, in which two stores of health interest operate.

The infringements concerned the absence of a lifeguard, as well as the fact that certain operating files of the two stores were not available for inspection.

The audit was carried out with the assistance of the Greek Police, following relevant complaints, which the Ministry of Tourism forwarded, immediately, to the Economic Crime Prosecution Corps (SDOE) and the General Secretariat for Consumer Affairs, within the order given by the Minister of Tourism Vassilis Kikilia, for the provision of quality services and the safe operation of hotel units and accommodation throughout the country.

The Minister of Tourism, Vassilis Kikilias, stated:

“Since the beginning of the tourist season, we have said that the inspections will be continuous, in order to ensure the high level of services required by – and should have – both visitors to our country and Greek travelers. Security and protection It’s obviously not a minor issue. Laws, guidelines and safety protocols are for all of us to follow. And in matters of public safety and health we are not going to make discounts. of course, the majority of companies in the industry, which respects and follows the law “.
