The need for a coronavirus vaccination certificate before traveling to Europe this summer seems to be coming true.
European leaders discuss the introduction of the vaccination certificate on time for the start of this year’s tourist season, according to a BBC report, but some countries, inside and outside the EU, have already announced their plans for the so-called “vaccination passports”.
The European Union’s goal is the free movement of tourists in the Member States in the summer “without discrimination”, but the challenges are great.

The certificate, whether digital or paper, will allow anyone who has been vaccinated (or tested negative) coronavirus test) travel without restrictions to the 27 Member States. However, the Union wants to include non-member countries, such as Norway, Iceland and Switzerland.
The key to the digital certificate will be a QR code, which will include personal data and is now considered safe by the Commission. At the same time, it cooperates with the World Health Organization to recognize the certificate outside European borders.
THE Denmark plans to use its own “Coronapas” vaccination certificate for domestic tourism after Easter. Sweden has similar plans.
The Israel, on the other hand, has already prepared a system with vaccination certificates, having vaccinated with both doses over half of the population. A “green pass” is already available, with which you enter hotels, gyms and theaters.

As we know, its owners will be able to vacation in Greece and Cyprus. Vaccination certificate is now being studied in England, for use both at home and for trips abroad.
However, there are challenges in using such a certificate, as it must comply with the standards set by European Union and the World Health Organization, but also to emerge from reliable health systems.
Issues are also raised at the level of privacy and human rights. Personal health data remains extremely sensitive and everyone should be confident about how it is used by companies and governments…
