Once again urgent measures and once again new restrictions. The goal is always to limit the run of the contagion e narrow the no vax area as much as possible. For the first time, the obligation of the vaccine by age group is introduced with the decree approved by the Council of Ministers with rules for workplaces and schools.
For Premier Draghi, the new rules “want preserve the proper functioning of hospitals and, at the same time, keep schools and businesses open“. The prime minister explained: «We want to slow the growth of the contagion curve and push the Italians who have not yet vaccinated to do so. We intervene in particular on the age groups that are most at risk of hospitalization to reduce the pressure on hospitals and save lives ».
Vaccination obligation
The text introduces the vaccination obligation for all those who have reached the age of 50. Valid until June 15th. On the other hand, there are no age limits in the extension of the vaccination obligation to university staff who are equated to school staff. The penalty for those over 50 who do not get vaccinated will be 100 euros.
Reinforced Green Pass
For i public and private workers with 50 years of age the Enhanced Green Pass, which can only be obtained with vaccine and recovery, will be required for access to workplaces starting next February 15th. The penalty for violating the law ranges from 600 to 1500 euros.
Green Pass Base
The obligation of the basic Green Pass, the one that is also obtained with the tampon, is extended to those who access the personal services (beautician, hairdresser) and also to public offices, postal, banking and financial services and commercial activities, except for essential ones.
Smart working
Public administrations and private companies are advised to make the most of the flexibility provided by the agile work agreements in the coming weeks.
School
The rules for the management of positive cases are changing. In the primary school the activity is suspended with only one positive case. At elementary with a positive, surveillance with testing is activated. Children stay in the classroom by taking an immediate or molecular antigenic swab and one after five days. If the positives are two, there is the dad for ten days.
For the average and the superior up to one case of positivity in the same class, self-monitoring is envisaged with the use, in the classroom, of FFP2 masks. With two cases, those vaccinated with the third dose and those who received the second or recovered less than 120 days remain in the classroom. For the others there is integrated digital teaching. With three cases, the DAD is expected for ten days.
Third dose from 12 years
The Council of Ministers has given the green light to the third dose for 12 to 15 year olds. Reservations open from Monday 10 January.
