The president of USA Joe Biden will announce later today the shipment by the end of June 20 million additional installments vaccines against Covid-19 in third countries, his spokeswoman said.
This amount will increase to 80 million doses the total number of vaccine doses that the White House promised to send abroad. New exports will include vaccines approved for use in the United States.
When asked which countries will benefit from these vaccines, Jen Psaki, a White House spokeswoman, remained vague and simply promised that clarifications on the distribution criteria would be made “in the coming days.”
New York puts an end to the need to use the mask for those vaccinated in many public places
New York State will no longer require citizens who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to wear masks in many public places, adopting new guidelines issued last week by the federal health authorities, the governor of New York said today Andrew Cuomo.
“Those who have not been vaccinated should continue to wear a mask,” the governor said.
Masks will continue to be mandatory on public transport, schools and in some public places, even among those vaccinated, according to the governor.
Andrew Cuomo also said that private companies could continue to impose their own rules of use of the mask on their customers and other visitors.
