The remake of the soap opera “Vale Tudo” is booming on social networks and some excerpts from the original version of the soap opera, aired in 1988, have attracted attention because, unintentionally, showed the reality of today’s life.
In one of the chapters of the original plot, the character Flavia, lived by Renata Castro Barbosa, is on the table with friends and everyone is commenting on the movies they like best. She says her favorite film is “Bete Balance”, by director Lael Rodrigues, aired in 1984, who was starred precisely by Debora Bloch, the current interpreter of Odete Roitman.
“I prefer ‘Bete Balance’. I’m fissied at Debora Bloch… That song, then,” she said.
Debora’s performance in this film earned him two awards as best protagonist actress, the Air France and APCA Award. The homonymous song quoted by the character of “Vale Tudo” was played by the band Barão Vermelho, which at the time was vocalist Cazuza (1958-1990). He even lived the character Tininho in the production.
The film tells the story of a young woman, Bete, who moves to Rio de Janeiro and who faces difficulty entering the music industry. Among the topics covered in the feature are sex, drugs and rock’n’roll.
