A “devastating” pain, as she described it in her own words Francesca in a post on social mediathe mother of Valentina, 10 years old, died after being hit by a car on the A2.
The accident occurred on the eve of the Epiphany, near the motorway junction of Bagnara Calabria. The car in which Valentina was traveling with her family stopped in the emergency lane due to a breakdown and while her little girl got out of the car she was run over by another oncoming car. The 118 doctors intervened on the spot, but they could not do anything but ascertain the death of the child.
