Not just love in a dream location. The holidays of Valentina Ferragni they were also something else. The influencer shared with followers a near tragedy in St Barth, during the holiday in which she came out into the open with her new boyfriend Matteo Napoletano. A misadventure that took place at sea, during a jet ski ride, from which she came out with two broken ribs and which she only now finds the courage to tell why «I thought the worst, I thought we’d die» he reveals.
“We booked a 1.5-hour jet ski tour around the island with a guide» says Valentina Ferragni. «It seemed like a nice thing to us but after the first 10 minutes I already thought I was going to die, the waves were very high and you had to stand up to avoid falling». Matteo was driving, Valentina was standing behind him holding on to his waist. But from the first minutes the influencer feels the fatigue of the position. «I felt like I was going to fall into the water at any moment».
To complicate things, then, was the weather: rough seas, high waves and an approaching storm. «A very heavy storm was coming and we had to turn back right away. We look at the horizon and there was the blackest sky I’ve ever seen in my life » she continues. It starts to rain, then the accident: the two, not exactly experts in jet skis, end up in the sea. «We catch a very strong wave and fall into the open sea. In the fall I don’t know if I crashed into the bike or Matteo, I couldn’t breathe» says Valentina Ferragni again, visibly tried by what happened.
“I thought we were going to die, while we were in the water I thought the worst,” he continues. Also because in the meantime the guide had moved away. In fact, they were rescued by another hiker who saw them end up in the water and only later did the guide come to their rescue. In the end Valentina Ferragni came out with a great fright, two broken ribs and a bracelet, to which she was very attached, lost. Matteo Napoletano, on the other hand, lost his smartwatch.

But the influencer does not send them to the guide. In fact, once they were rescued and arrived on shore, the couple had to pay the cost of the jet ski ride. «The problem is not paying, but the guide who decides to let us go out in these weather conditions. The worst could really happen » she reiterates. The two then paid and everything worked out for the best. But it remains a bad memory in what should have been a perfect romantic getaway.
