Valerio Scanu will marry his partner Luigi Calcara

Orange blossoms in sight for Valerio Scanu. The singer, as he wants the most classical of traditions, knelt down, showed the ring and he asked his partner, Luigi Calcara, to marry him. Attending the event were the couple’s historical friends who filmed and then posted it on social media proposal, totally unexpected judging by the bewildered face of the future husband.

Scanu has always been very jealous of his private life and she never spoke openly about either her relationships or her sexual orientation. Deciding to show his relationship to the public represents a very important step for him because he writes an end to all the speculations that have affected him over the years, prompting him on many occasions to do coming out.

Not much is known about when and how the ceremony will take place, but also about who the groom is. Born in ’90, Calcara is the same age as Scanu and, probably, they met about two years ago as they would be a steady couple from 2020. Of Sicilian origin, he has lived in Rome for many years and is a professor of electrical engineering at La Sapienza Universityin the Department of Astronautical, Electrical and Energy Engineering.

The 2022 is therefore confirmed as a golden year for the former competitor of Friends: after graduating in Law with 110 cum laude – a goal strongly desired and dedicated to his father who died in 2020 due to Covid – now also marriage.
