Van from the band CPM 22 is stolen in Rio; musicians are fine

A van carrying members of the rock band CPM 22 was robbed last Saturday (30) when the group was traveling to a show in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio de Janeiro. No one was injured in the incident.

On social media, the band only said that, after the robbery, the show that was to be held yesterday had to be canceled and that the musicians and support professionals are fine.

Also on social media, publicist Mariana Graciolli, engaged to vocalist Fernando Badauí, spoke about the incident. According to her, two of the five band members were in the van when the vehicle was targeted by the criminals.

“Badauí was not in the van. It was Lu and Phil. They [assaltantes] they just wanted the van. So, they [os músicos] They are as good as possible. Everyone is at home resting and getting their heads straight”, said the publicist.

The theft of the vehicle was recorded by the Civil Police at the 21st DP (Bonsucesso). The case is being investigated.

CPM 22 would be presenting yesterday afternoon at the “Rock na Ilha” event, which was scheduled to start at 2 pm on Ilha do Itanhagá, in Barra da Tijuca. The CPM 22 show was scheduled for 8:30 pm, with an end scheduled for 10:30 pm.
