After the success of the previous four editions, the Vanity Fair Storiesthe largest fully live event of Vanity Fair which for the first time is staged at Giorgio Gaber Opera House in Milan (via Larga 14).
This year’s theme The change is you, stories that change the world. Many characters alternate on the stage who are an active part of the change: actors and directors, comedians and singers, writers, dancers, key figures of culture.
Among these too Paola Turaniinfluencer, who tells the life of his family every day on social media. Georgia Surina, actress and radio host, author of “In two it will be easier to stay awake” (Giunti), which tells the story of two women who choose to have a child without a partner. And finally Angela RafanelliRai journalist who was widowed when her daughter was seven months old.
Surina introduced the talk by explaining that she is not a mother yet, and everyone asked her if she wrote the book because she had a desire for motherhood even without a partner. “One can give birth to various things, even dreams. The fact that a woman is not a mother, like me, does not mean that she is a ‘minor’ woman.’ Rafanelli told of her resilience after the mourning, because “I didn’t want to be engulfed by pain”. While Paola Turani recounted the hardships of motherhood and her work.
