Vassilis Stavrou left AB Vassilopoulos

After 28 years of career at AB Vassilopoulos, Vassilis Stavrou announced his decision to leave the company, where he was acting Brand President from 2018.

Vassilis Stavrou started at AB in 1994. During his long career at the Group, he was, among others, Head of Quality Control in the Purchasing Department, General Manager of Business Development, Human Resources and Sustainability for Southeast Europe & Indonesia, as well as Brand President of Mega Image in Romania.

Regarding the departure of Vassilis Stavros, Wouter Kolk, CEO of Ahold Delhaize Europe & Indonesia, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank Vassilis for his significant contribution to our company, during his long career. “He is known and respected for his passion for people and building strong teams. His deep experience in the retail business and caring for others is unique and will be unforgettable to many.”

The company is already looking for a new leader. In the meantime, Jesper Lauridsen, Brand President Albert and Brand Leader for the Central and Southern Europe (CSE) region, will assume the responsibility as AB President of Vassilopoulos, in addition to his current responsibilities. Jesper will work closely with the Management Team of AB, with the aim of the smooth development of the company in the Greek market.
