The Vatican offered help to bring peace to Ukraine, indicating the Holy See as a place for negotiations, said the Italian media Rai, citing the country’s secretary of state, Pietro Parolin.
Parolin said on Friday (16) that the Holy See could be available for a meeting between Ukraine and Russia, so they could meet and “at least talk,” Rai said.
The Vatican could be a “very suitable place,” added Parolin.
Pope Lion said on Friday that “the Holy See is always ready to help gather enemies, face to face, so that they can talk to each other, so that people everywhere can once again find hope and recover the dignity they deserve, the dignity of peace.”
