The civil police in São Paulo carried out, this afternoon (28), an operation with the intention of combating crimes against property, especially robbery, theft and illegal dismantling of vehicles. In total, 19 people were detained, with 10 suspects being arrested in flagrante delicto.
The work, which was concentrated in the regions of the Pantanal and Cidade Tiradentes communities, in the East Zone of São Paulo, was carried out by police officers from the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic).
During the operation, Deic teams patrolled the streets and alleys of these communities, identifying vehicles with altered identification signs. Four cars and three motorcycles were seized. In addition, the police caught electricity theft, where energy was diverted directly from the grid.
As a result of the operation, 30 slot machines and 2,123 counterfeit products were seized, mainly clothing items and cell phone accessories.
A “sound wall”, equipment responsible for disturbing the peace in the Pantanal community, was also removed.
The seized parts filled a truck, according to the police, so the total quantity is yet to be counted.
