María Corina Machado, Venezuela’s opposition leader, took part in a protest on Wednesday (28), the day that marks one month until the country’s presidential election.
Opponents accuse the government of fraud, claiming that Edmundo González is the true winner of the election. The Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE) has not yet released the voting records, but confirmed Nicolás Maduro’s victory.
On social media, Machado stated that “today, one month after our glorious victory on July 28, we Venezuelans unite, inside and outside our country, and shout with vigor!”
“At 12:00 Venezuelan time, wherever you are, let’s sing together and with pride our National Anthem! GLORY TO THE BRAVE PEOPLE! Let’s take to the streets with your family and your flag!” he added.
