Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro announced yesterday 18/8 the growth of 4.5 million nationalists across the country in response to US “threats”, developing military resources in the Caribbean. “This week, I will activate a special plan” which predicts “over 4.5 million ethnic guards to guarantee the whole of national territory”. They are men “prepared, active and armed,” Mr Maduro stressed a few days after Washington announced that it doubles $ 50 million a fee for his arrest. The Venezuelan National Guard had been founded by the deceased former President Hugo Chavez, whose Mr Maduro is considered a political heir.
