“This left, captured by the CIA and the United States in Latin America, has two spokesmen who are Lula, who is not the same person who comes out of prison, for everything he was accused of, he is not the same at all, nor physically, nor in the way he expresses himself”, said Saab.
Still addressing the period in which the Brazilian president was arrested, the Venezuelan claimed that “he is not the same person who was the founder of the PT, who founded and promoted the workers’ movements in Brazil”.
“What interests you? Who are you, Lula, to meddle in Venezuela’s internal affairs?” Saab added.
The Brazilian president, alongside the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, made attempts to negotiate with the Venezuelan government in search of a way out of the country’s political crisis, while continuing to request the electoral records of the July 28 presidential elections.
In several statements, Lula also pointed out that Nicolás Maduro’s government has authoritarian inclinations, but emphasizes that he would not classify it as a dictatorship.
