The Laowa OOOM 25-100mm T2.9 Cine lens was previously available with Arri PL, Canon EF and Sony E mounts. The new option, available only in white, features a Canon RF mount. According to the manufacturer, it is a versatile 4x zoom lens that covers the Super35 + frame and allows 4K resolution when mounted on an Alexa Mini, 5K when mounted on a Red Gemini camera, and 8K when mounted on a Red Helium camera. The maximum light transmission T2.9 is maintained throughout the entire zoom range. A feature of optical shooting is strict parfocality, due to which the subject remains in focus when the focal length is changed.
The lens comes with a 1.4x expander and 1.33x anamorphic adapter. The expander turns the lens into a full-frame lens, and the anamorphic adapter allows you to capture a wide-format cinematic frame with an aspect ratio of 2.4: 1.
