According to a statement from the company that has a mine and factory in São Gotardo, a second unit should start production in the third quarter, with a capacity of 1.2 million tons per year, compared to the company’s total production last year of 400,000 tons of fertilizers. potassium.
This second unit should have its capacity increased to 2.4 million tons by the fourth quarter, raising the company’s total capacity with a unit in Minas Gerais to 3 million tons per year.
With this, Verde Agritech should be the largest producer of potash in Brazil, helping to improve the supply of a product that the country imports almost all the volume consumed.
