Victoria, in Paris for the fashion week, was accompanied to the French capital by David, so, combining business with pleasure, she gave herself a “Getaway for two” with her husband and together they celebrated their anniversary in the city she calls “their happy place.” Everything, of course, was documented online in Instagram stories, in which both she and he posted also photos of the glorious 90swhen they met.

At the time, she was the most beautiful (and most out of tune) of the most famous girl-band of the decade and he was a promising Manchester United footballer they called Spice Boy because of his illustrious girlfriend. They met at a football match, fell in love, and then got married on July 4, 1999, at Luttrellstown Castle in Dublin.

They were both beautiful and they embodied the promise of the futurebut they weren’t the best of style at the time (and today they are both a lot ironically aware, as shown by the photos posted), although she, who had a passion for fashion since she was a young girl, for everyone was Posh, the most elegant of the Spice Girls.

And today he remembers it, re-proposing the video of that interview on his Instagram profile: “23 years ago Posh became Mrs Beckham but it will always remain Posh. I love you, I love you all, ”wrote the former footballer.
